Jury Duty Scam

On November 17th, the Potter County Sheriff’s Office was notified about a scammer in the community requesting money.

The scammer claimed he was Sgt. Paul Walker and that the individual had an outstanding warrant for missing jury duty and requested a cash payment for the warrant to disappear.

Potter County Sheriff’s Office stated they will never contact or requested any money for warrants, ask anyone in the community for cash, or meet them for payments.
