Italy Is Installing A Retractable Floor In The Colosseum, Will Hold Concerts There

Officials in Italy are adding a very modern-day feature to the Colosseum – a retractable floor.

The new floor will be part of a $12-million renovation aimed at restoring the Colosseum to “gladiator-era glory”. The floor will help protect the arena’s underground tunnels that have been exposed to the elements for centuries.  It will include features like trap doors and lifts that were part of the original Colosseum.

Once complete, the plan is to open the Colosseum up for concerts and other live events.

Do you approve of this plan, or should the Colosseum be preserved in its original form?  What concert would you like to see in the Colosseum?
