Injured Hiker Rescued in Palo Duro Canyon

A hiker in the Palo Duro Canyon was rescued by first responders Wednesday due to injury. 

The rescue was near the Lighthouse Rock Trail after the 25-year-old man fell from a critical level.

Lifestar was sent to assist, and their helicopter landed near Capital Peak. 

Rescue teams assisted the hiker and determined the fall was not critical and was transported to Baptist St. Anthony’s by ambulance.

The rescue was also assisted by Randal County Fire Dept. and Texas Parks & Wildlife.
