Hutchinson County Joins Potter County’s Radio System

Hutchinson County is joining in with Potter  County on the radio communication system.

The Potter County Commissioners agreed to the partnership.

Hutchinson County has been using an analog system with quite limited coverage space.

They joining a system that has coverage that reaches from Tulia up to Spearman. Borger and Hutchinson have bought 250 radios Butchinson county purchased their from funds From the American Rescue Plan Act and county budge

Both agencies say they needed the upgrades for efficient handling of emergency situations.

Hutchinson County now has the capaility to have GPS tracking on their devices And the ability to encrypt messages and both groups are currently installing the new systems. .
