How We Can Combat Animal Cruelty on a Federal Level

Animal Cruelty has been an unfortunately common thing for some people, with there being not too much of a known solution to combat this problem.

Recently, an arrest was made here in Amarillo where a 36-year-old woman was first searched for child pornography, but also found $1,200 of antibiotics, equipment, and a cockfighting operation with over 21 roosters inside the house.

With these operations going on throughout the country, especially in the South, Executive Director of Animal Wellness Action Marty Irby speaks on what can be done on a federal level to enforce anti-wellness laws.

Within said legislation, the US Department of Justice can create an Animal Cruelty Crimes Unit to further enforce anti-wellness laws and other forms of Animal Cruelty for $2 million a year if funded.

Call your federal legislatures at 202-224-3121 to ask about co-sponsoring the Animal Cruelty Enforcement Act today.
