Amarillo Fire crews responded to a structure fire, Friday night at 11:30 in the 46-hundred block of Cherokee Trail.
When they got there they found a single-story house with an attached garage fully involved. Randall County Sheriff’s assisted by helping two occupants evacuate the house.
Firefighters then searched the house and took out one other occupant, and immediately issued medical treatment on the person
They continued the search and removed one dog and a cat.
The occupant was taken to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. The pets ran away from the scene as soon as they were removed
The Amarillo Fire Marshals Office has determined the blaze as accidental.
