House Fire In Amarillo Causes Several Thousand Dollars In Damages Wednesday Night

A fire causes over $60,000 in damages Wednesday night in Amarillo.

Just after 10 pm, fire crews were dispatched to the 100 block of Wayside Drive and discovered heavy smoke coming from the attic area.

Additional units were called to help with the blaze and was finally brought under control around 10:52 pm.

No injuries were reported and the Amarillo Fire Marshal ruled it accidental.

Damages were estimated at $65,000.
