House Debates Objection To Counting AZ’s Electoral Votes
The House is debating an objection to the Electoral College votes from Arizona. Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar and Texas Senator Ted Cruz led the objection.
House Minority Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana said the Constitution must be followed. He said Democrats don’t want to fix the issues.
Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan said the reason there hasn’t been a hearing since the election is because all Democrats care about is making sure Trump is no longer the President of the United States.
Arizona flipped to President-elect Joe Biden in November.
Democratic Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren of California responded for her party.
She said those who are objecting are trying to force their preference on the American people instead of who the voters chose in the election.
Lofgren claimed last year’s election was the most secure ever. She also said the election margin wasn’t close.
