The American Hotel & Lodging Association is bracing for a holiday travel slump.
A recent survey indicates 72% of Americans are unlikely to travel for Thanksgiving and 69% are unlikely to travel for Christmas. The poll was done in early November. It also showed that only 3 in 10 travelers have taken a vacation or trip since March and 44% plan to take one in the next year or so.
