Hot Pursuit Wheeler Cnty

A hot pursuit in Wheeler County led to the arrest of a man on Monday.

Wheeler County deputies tried to make a traffic stop on a vehicle that was getting away from law enforcement.

The driver is said to have tossed several packages out of the window on Rt 66 in Shamrock
and then pulled the vehicle over in a motel parking lot.

Sheriff’s Officials went back to the area where the drugs were thrown out of the vehicle and found four pounds of cocaine and four pounds of Fentanyl pills. Charges against the driver include two counts of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.
