Homicide on Sunday Morning leads to Arrest.

At 4:20 AM on Sunday morning, officers with the Amarillo Police Department were sent to the hospital to investigate his gunshot injury. 

The victim was identified as 31-year-old Javier Hernandez, who later passed in the hospital. 

Witnesses told officers the incident was in the 3500 block of Southeast 11th Avenue. 

Javier was in an altercation with several other males, and one of them pulled out a gun and shot him. 

APD Homicide Detectives identified the suspect as Oscar Adame and were able to receive a warrant.

He was found and arrested for murder and is now booked into the Potter County Detention Center.
