Highland Park School named Region 16 Board of The Year

Highland Park ISD Board of Trustees is one of the best school boards in the state.

According to Region 16, The Texas Education Agency’s Region 16 named the board their 2022 School Board of the Year.

Highland Park will also vie for one of five Texas Honor Boards and later, one of those will be named the Texas Outstanding School Board of the Year.

Members of the board include: President Tonya Detten, Vice President Kevin Sawyer, Secretary Elise Kovar, along with members Ron Hobbs, Ricardo Mercado, Jennifer Sanchez, and Cindy Spanel.
