High Plains Food Bank Hoping to Raise Awareness With Hunger Action Month Partnership

This September, High Plains Food Bank will be joining Feeding America and other food banks across the United States to participate in Hunger Action Month.

The month will mark the 15th year of the campaign, which aims to raise awareness when it comes to the fight against hunger across the country.

The focus for this year is on the choice many community members are too often forced to make: balancing their lack of food with other basic needs.

Throughout the month residents of the Texas Panhandle will have the opportunity to get involved through learning, committing, and speaking up about ways to help those facing food insecurity.
