Hereford Man Dead After Thursday Morning Wreck

A Hereford man is dead after a crash Thursday.
The Texas Department of Public Safety around 8:45 am 66-year-old Alfred Sanders, driving a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck towing a flatbed trailer, traveling eastbound on U.S. 60 in the outside lane.
A piece of equipment fell off of the flatbed trailer, causing Sanders to slow the pickup down and made an illegal left turn from the outside lane into the crossover in front of a 2019 freightliner truck tractor that was towing a semi-trailer.
The driver of the truck tractor was unable to avoid the crash and struck the pickup on the driver side.
Sanders was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead on scene of the crash.
