A lightning strike forced the cancellation of classes at the Holy Cross Catholic Academy on Friday.

HCCA head official Craig Logan says the strike happened between 8:30 and 8:45 Thursday night, hitting the main building on campus.

He goes on to say the school’s main server was knocked out along with other unknown damage.

All classes, including virtual, were canceled Friday. School officials report they are conducting a thorough damage assessment.
