The Hartley County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Agon has received new body armor, Thanks to a charitable donation from a non-profit organization.

Vested Interest in K-9’s, INC provided the $950 bullet and stab protective vest with the help of an anonymous sponsor.

The organization’s goal is to provide vests for K-9’s in law enforcement and related agencies across the United States. Since its inception in 2009, 3,200 vests have been provide to K-9’s across the nation.

In the past year K-9 Agon and handler Deputy Tommy Hughes have taken pounds of narcotics off the highways.

The Hartley County Sheriff’s Office is thankful for the donation and encourages other agencies with K-9s to reach out to Vested Interest in K-9s, INC.
