Hall County Deadly Crash

One person is dead following an auto crash in Hall County following a two-car crash early Tuesday morning in Hall County.

At 4:00 a.m Tuesday morning, a 2002 Toyota Corolla was going westbound on the state-bound Highway 256 because of a previous crash with an animal.

The driver of the Toyota, 25-year-old Kayla Terral of Pasadena, and two of her passengers in the car, 26-year-old Michael Solis also of Pasadena, and another 26-year-old passenger got out of the car and started walking towards a ditch.

The Texas Department of Public Safety surmise the three did not think the oncoming car a westbound Dodge Caravan was going to slow down in time and was going to strike their Toyota.

The driver of the Dodge saw the hazard lights but did not realize the Toyota was stopped on the road and side-swiped the
stopped vehicle.

The passenger in the front seat of the Solis was not able to get out of the car and Kayla was hit as she tried to run for the ditch. The other passenger made it safely to the ditch.
