It’s the first time he’s been under par after the first round of a major since the 2014 British Open. Defending champion Patrick Reed opened with a one-over 73.

Stars Will Try To Win Two Straight In Nashville

(Nashville, TN) — The Stars will return to the ice tomorrow against the Predators as they try to take a two-game lead in Nashville in the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Dallas won the opener Wednesday 3-2 with 19-year-old Miro Heiskanen scoring two goals. The best-of-seven series will shift to Dallas for Game Three on Monday.

Rockets Seeded Fourth For NBA Playoffs

Buddy Reed Homers Twice in 10-8 Win Over Corpus Christi

AMARILLO, Texas – Buddy Reed hit his third and fourth home runs of the season Thursday night against Corpus Christi, one of which was the first inside-the-park home run in HODGETOWN and Sod Poodle franchise history. The Hooks would make it an interesting game late by scoring five runs in the eighth and ninth, but the Sod Poodles would hang on to win by a final score of 10-8. Amarillo and Corpus Christi continue into game two of their four-game set tonight at HODGETOWN. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Gates are scheduled to open at 6:00 p.m.
Pedro Avila becomes the first Amarillo Sod Poodles player to be called up to the Majors. The 22-year-old right-hander made his first Major League start against Arizona last night, allowing a run and four hits while striking out five in 5 1/3 innings. The Padres beat the Diamondbacks 7-6. Avila made one start for Amarillo while in Corpus Christi tossing six innings of two-hit ball.
Sunday is KGNC Fun Day at Hodgetown. The first 1,000 fans get a free Sod Poodles team poster and the kids club members will get to run the bases after the game. First pitch is 1:05.

Jaguars’ Fournette Arrested For Suspended License

(Jacksonville, FL) — Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette is free after being arrested Thursday in Jacksonville for driving with a suspended license. He paid just over 15-hundred-dollars bail and was released. Fournette received a speeding ticket last November and failed to pay, resulting in his license being suspended. He was the fourth-overall pick in 2017.

Longhorns, Bears Will Play Spring Games Tomorrow

(Undated) — The Longhorns will conclude their spring football practice tomorrow with the Orange and White Spring Game in Austin. Quarterback Sam Ehlinger returns from a Texas team that went 10-and-4 last season and beat Georgia 28-to-21 in the Sugar Bowl. Baylor will play its Green and Gold spring game tomorrow at McLane Stadium. The Bears went from a one-win season in 2016 to seven wins and a bowl victory in coach Matt Rhule’s second season.
