(Frisco, TX) — Cowboys owner Jerry Jones will meet with wide receiver Dez Bryant today to discuss his future with the team. Multiple reports state the Cowboys could ask Bryant to take a pay cut. The Pro Bowl receiver is due 12-and-a-half million-dollars for 2018 despite not reaching one-thousand yards since 2014. Bryant is 29 years old and is entering his ninth NFL season.

Texans Cut OT Newton

(Houston, TX) — The Texans are parting ways with offensive tackle Derek Newton. Newton failed a physical last month and is still recovering from torn patella tendons in both legs. He suffered the injury in 2016 and missed all of last season. Newton plans to file a grievance against the team, which declined to pay a 500-thousand dollar roster bonus. Newton played 82 games for Houston between 2011-and-2016.

Report: Seahawks Postpone Kaepernick Visit Over Anthem

(Seattle, WA) — A previously scheduled workout between Colin Kaepernick and the Seattle Seahawks is being postponed over the quarterback’s stance on the national anthem. ESPN reports Kaepernick wouldn’t confirm that he would stop kneeling before the anthem next season, resulting in Seattle postponing the visit. The Seahawks haven’t ruled out signing Kaepernick in the future. He hasn’t played since the 2016 season and is currently suing the NFL for allegedly conspiring to keep him out of the league. Seattle and Baltimore were the only teams to publicly show interest in him last season.
