Friday Sports Update – Giants Challenge Cowboys Sunday Night

(Arlington, TX) — The Giants and Cowboys both hope to bounce back from less than stellar Week One performances on Sunday Night Football in Arlington. The Jaguars slowed down New York 20-15 in East Rutherford. Saquon Barkley broke free for 68-yard touchdown scamper, but the Giants’ offense was quiet the rest of the day with only three field goals. Dallas also struggled on that side of the ball in a 16-8 loss at Carolina. The ‘Boys had 232 yards of offense and went just 2-for-11 on third-down conversions. Dak Accepts Collins’ Challenge

(Frisco, TX) — Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is ready to air the ball out if he needs to. After Giants safety Landon Collins commented the Giants have a better chance to win with Prescott passing, the Dallas QB responded with two words yesterday; challenge accepted. Prescott threw for 170 yards and took six sacks in the Week One loss.

Texans Clash With Titans Sunday

(Nashville, TN) — The Texans are on the road again on Sunday when they visit the Tennessee Titans. Houston opens AFC South action against former Texans coach Mike Vrabel, who leads the Titans. Both teams are 0-and-1 after season-opening losses.

Astros Host Diamondbacks

(Houston, TX) — The Astros are back home tonight as they host the Arizona Diamondbacks. Houston went 5-and-1 on its recent road trip and sits three-and-a-half games ahead of Oakland for the division lead. Dallas Keuchel gets the start tonight, while Arizona sends out Robbie Ray.
