A Friday morning fire in the 6000 block of Ethan Lane in Amarillo.
Fire crews got to the home at 9;15 a.m. after receiving a report that smoke was visable from the front of the home.
Crews found heavy smoke from the eaves and roof vents after they got there and one of the homes occupants outside.
Firefighters attacked the blaze in the home’s kitchen, dining room, and a part of a bedroom, and the fire was under control at 9:51 a.m.
The occupant of the home refused medical treatment, the Red Cross was notified and the blaze is under investigation by the Amarillo Fire Marshal’s Office
