Friday Crash in Amarillo Leave Two Dead. UPDATE*

The victims in this accident have been identified as 51-year-old Bettye Montano and 21-year-old Allton Montano.

Next of kin have been notified and this incident is still under investigation by the Amarillo Police Traffic Investigation Unit.

Amarillo police are investigating a deadly rollover crash that happened before noon at the intersection of 34th Avenue. and Lipscomb Street.

The Amarillo Police Department reports that two people are dead after the fatal wreck.

According to APD, a Dodge Durango and a Ford Mustang were going west on 34th Ave before making contact causing both vehicles to roll. Police on the scene told our crews that two passengers in the Durango died at the scene and one other person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

APD continued saying that those in the Mustang sustained minor injuries and the vehicle caused minor damage to a home.

More information will be released and the crash is under investigation.
