Free Parking Back In Downtown

 The Amarillo City Council voted to eliminate paid parking in downtown where there are currently 900 paid spaces.

The city started using the Park Mobile app for paid parking spots in 2019.

The council decided it did not generate enough revenue to be beneficial and the plan is to change to timed parking with one and two-hour time limits.
