Food Donations At The Mailbox

Texas Panhandle residents can help out with the High Plains Food Bank and support community members who struggle with hunger, by leaving non-perishable food items in a bag by their mailboxes.

Letter carriers will collect the donations on May 11 for the food bank, where the food items will be distributed to those in need.

Participating cities include Amarillo, Canyon, Dimmitt, Dumas, Hereford, Shamrock, and Tulia.

Each community’s donations will go into their own pantries.

You can still donate directly to the food bank at 815 Ross Street in Amarillo.
