First Homicide of 2021

The City of Amarillo has its first homicide of the year.

Police say a man was killed after a shooting in North Amarillo, and three people were injured.

Officers were called out at 1:55 a.m. to the Hamlet Shopping Center in the 2600 block of Dumas Drive.

There they found four shooting victims on the scene.

29-year-old Orlando Kilgore was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

The Homicide Unit, Violent Crimes Unit, and the Shooting Response Team responded to the scene and continue to investigate.
