Fentanyl Drug Possession Arrest

A woman is looking at Federal Drug charges for having 950 thousand dollars of Fentanyl.

On July 25th, an Amarillo Police officer, working the bus detail at the Greyhound bus station, conducted a free air sniff with a K-9.

The dog alerted on a suitcase, and police found six brick size packages of the drug.

Undercover agents spotted a Hispanic woman Melissa Guadalupe Torres-Garcia take the suitcase and walked into the terminal.

After interrogation, she admitted to owning the suitcase and its contents.

Torres-Garcia has been booked into the Randall County Jail on Possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl.
