Famous B-29 Superfortress “Doc” Visits Amarillo

The Texas Air and Space Museum is set to welcome the B-29 Superfortress “Doc” to Amarillo from April 14th through April 16th.

Thanks to extensive repair and restoration that took nearly 16 years, “Doc” is just the second of two B-29s still in flight operation.

The aircraft will be on display at the museum located at 10001 American Drive on April 14th from 10 am through 5 pm and April 15th from noon until 5 pm, and individuals will have the chance to enter and tour the plane.

The museum will also host a supper and shindig on April 15th as a special event to meet the crew, and the program will also offer a tribute to veterans of Korea and Vietnam.
