Facade Grant for the Marizon Building

Center City of Amarillo has chosen The Marizon Building, specifically the ‘In This Moment’ Event Venue, to receive one of their 20,000 dollar façade grants.

Started in ‘91, Center City’s goal is to preserve and revitalize the historic downtown area. They were given 60,000 for façade grants this year.

Beth Duke, the Executive Director, is excited to be able to revitalize these old buildings and bring back some of their original charm.

CC will host a tour called “Imagine the Possibilities” from 2 to 5pm on May 16th. People can pay 5 dollars to tour 9 downtown locations.

Some  of the locations include residences, event venues, offices, and a movie studio.
