Explosion Fire

An explosion fire in the 3100 Hundred block of South Monroe, Monday night at 10:30 p.m…

The first arriving unit came upon found a detached residential garage collapsed with fire and smoke coming out of it. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the small blaze.

Residents of the home were outside when crews arrived, spoke with the firefighters and then he was taken to the hospital.

The Fire Marshal’s investigation turned up that the house occupant was working in the garage on a vehicle when the explosion happened.

Several possible causes for the incident could not be ruled out and has been ruled undetermined
