Energy Check Meters

Ever wonder how much your appliances cost even when you’re not using them.

Xcel Energy and the Amarillo Library have teamed up to bring the power check energy meter that can check energy use around your house by measuring “vampire usage”.

The meter can measure the energy used in appliances when they are plugged in and not turned on.

Xcel estimates the meters could save the average household up to 2-hundred dollars in energy costs.

The Library says the program is excellent for the community and makes it easy to check out a meter as it would be to check out a book.

The device comes with everything you need to set it up and run and even comes with a manual.
