El Dias de los Muertos

Saint Andrews Episcopal Church at 1601 South Georgia is putting on a celebration of faith and family at its El Dia de los Muertos celebration on November 2nd.
The celebration, otherwise known as The Day of the Dead, will have a brief service in English and Spanish and a chance to view ofrendas and dioramas to honor loved ones who have passed and watch the Glenwood Elementary School Ballet Folklorico dancers, as well as listen to mariachi music with plenty of Mexican food and drink.
All donations will benefit the new Barrio Pocket Park at 918 South Houston Street. The public park will feature plenty of amenities including a performance stage, free Wi-Fi, pole lights, and a place for food trucks and other vendors to sell their products.
