Dumas Sees Rise In Fentanyl Cases

An increase in fentanyl-related overdoses is making the Dumas Police urge parents to make their children aware of how dangerous drugs can be.

Chief of Police Ray Resendez says Fentanyl is an opioid that is 50 to 100 times more potent than Morphine and comes in different forms.

Chief Resendez also says what is making it more of a problem is that Fentanyl is becoming cheap and one incident can take a life. and it doesn’t matter if the victim is young, or old.

He wants the communities’ help in putting an end to the problem, by calling the Dumas Police Department at 806-935- 3998 or the Moore County Crime Stoppers at 806- 935-8477 with any tips or information on drug-related activity.
