Drugs And Firearm Found In Arrest

One man is facing several charges after Amarillo Police responded to a  suspicious activity call.

At 5:40 a.m., Police were sent to the area of 3600 Virginia after a caller said they heard a loud bang before a vehicle horn started going off.

Officers located the car with the horn going off in a driveway and while investigating, they saw a man on a bicycle ride out of a nearby alley.

47-year-old Jason Allen McWorter, the rider of the bike was stopped, law enforcement then found identifying information not belonging to him, a firearm, marijuana, and methamphetamine. 

McWorter was arrested and booked into the Randall County Jail for fraudulent use/possession of identifying information, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful carrying of a weapon and a municipal misdemeanor warrant.
