DPS To Have Extra Law Enforcement Out During New Years Holiday

With the Christmas holiday gearing up to take place The Texas Department of Public Safety will be taking to the roads in force for the annual Crash Awareness and Reduction Effort Initiative or CARE.

DPS Troopers will be increasing enforcement beginning on Thursday, December 31, through Friday, January 1.

Troopers will be looking for drivers who violate the law, including speeding, driving while intoxicated, failing to wear a seat belt, driving without insurance and not complying with the state’s Move Over, Slow Down law, among other traffic violations.
