DPS Sees Record Breaking Captured Rate

The Texas Department of Public Safety announced that 2021 had the highest number of Most Wanted Offenders captured in a single year.
This is the highest number of captures since the program’s inception in 1993.
Last year, 34 fugitives including 12 gang members, 17 convicted sex offenders, with 14 fugitives being caught within a 2 month period.
In addition, $71,500 in rewards were paid out in anonymous tips that resulted in arrests.
