DPS Increasing Enforcement for Holiday Season

The Texas Department of Public Safety is wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season.

Additionally, they will be increasing enforcement with the Texas Highway Patrol during their annual Christmas and New Year’s Holiday Traffic campaign starting December 23rd, looking for people who are speeding, not using their seatbelts, driving while intoxicated, and other traffic violations.

This increased enforcement is part of Operation CARE, running nationwide until January 2nd.

Over 91,000 citations were issued last year during the holidays.

Additionally, Texas DPS wants to remind everyone to be watchful, and report suspicious activity you may see through iWatchTexas
