DPS Employee Makes False Report of COVID-19

Last week the Texas Department of Public Safety reported that a Driver
License employee informed the department that he or she had tested
positive for COVID-19.

The case was reported from the Driver License office in Carrollton Texas.

After more testing and an investigation of the employee, it was found that
the employee provided false information and the tests came back negative
for the virus.

At this time the department is taking appropriate disciplinary actions against
the employee.
