Decrease In Child Abuse

Area Child Advocacy organizations are reporting a decrease in reports of child abuse and that is raising a reason for concern.

HOPES Amarillo Outreach and Education Support officials say the decrease in child abuse calls may be due to people such as Coaches, Teachers, Counselors and churches are in short supply because of the Covid-19 outbreak and not in the childrens lives as they would in normally.
