Deadly Tractor trailer Wreck

The Texas Department of Public Safety is releasing information concerning a deadly vehicle and pedestrian wreck near Shamrock, Friday.

DPS says that on Friday, March 3rd at 8:20 a.m.the man driving westbound in a 2020 tractor trailer, suffered a blowout on I-40, and got out the truck to inspect it.

They say the 54-year-old man from Sacramento, California, was struck by a 66-year-old Carver, Massachusetts woman, also going westbound, hit the man, and fled from the scene without stopping and giving aid.

Evidence collected from the scene by troopers identified the make and color of the woman’s car and the information was given out to various agencies to help locate the vehicle.  The woman’s vehicle had damage to the front right side along with other evidence enhancements related to the crash scene.

The woman was identified and released while her vehicle was impounded for processing.

DPS says this is still an ongoing investigation and charges are pending
