Deadly Crash On I-27

Two people have lost their lives after an early morning traffic accident that affected traffic along northbound I-27.

Preliminary information from the Department of Public Safety said a truck was driving southbound on the highway around 2:30 a.m.

The truck then hit a car in the northbound lane on the McCormick overpass, setting the truck on fire.

The driver and passenger in the car both died at the scene.
