Dalhart Family Donates to WT Program

A gift from a Dalhart Family has just permanently funded one of West Texas A&M University’s outreach programs.

The Louise C. and Gene F. Rahll Endowment for the Showcase in a Suitcase program will be celebrated during a concert by WT Jazz at the La Rita Theatre on April 9th at 7 pm. 

This comes as a result of the Rahll family giving $300,000 to WT as a part of the WT One West campaign. 

Showcase in a Suitcase is a program that started in 2011 and offers educational and cultural experiences to rural areas in the Panhandle through performances, workshops, lectures, and clinics. 

A large portion of these events take place in Dalhart but also get held at Boys Ranch, Panhandle, Quitaque, and Midland to name a few. 

The Rahll Family is known in Dalhart for their generosity, and have given back several times in their community to support opportunities.
