Amarillo Fire Department Set To Host Citizen’s Fire Academy

The Amarillo Fire Department is putting on a Citizens Fire Academy.

The first session will be on April 11 and participants will meet at the Central Fire Station with an introduction by Chief Mays, a history overview, and a discussion of plans for the academy and plan for scheduling of a ride-along with an on-duty crew.

The Fire Citizens Academy will meet on April 18th, 25th, May 2nd, May 9th, and May 18th.

A cookout is planned at the end of the Academy.
