Cross Bar Ranch Access

The Cross Bar Ranch will soon have permanent access to the property.

Monday, the Potter County Commissioners unanimously voted to approve continuing a Project Development Plan for the access

The Cross Bar Ranch is planned to be a recreation site and is just south of the Canadien River, now the Federal Highway Administration.can do a study on the cost estimate for building an access road to the 12-thousand acres of public land from Highway 287 to the ranch.

The next move will be in securing a 5-million-dollar -Federal Lands access program or flap grant.

On Saturday, March 4, The Cross Bar Special Recreation Management Area is hosting an open trails day out at the Cross Bar. The public is invited to come out and attend but you do have to provide your own transportation in and out of the property

The Open Trail day is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. where visitors can go biking, hike or horseback riding, and even go birding.
