Crash Into Building Claims The Life Of A 16 Year Old
A 16-year-old has died following a crash into a local restaurant.
On August 3rd at 12:20 am Amarillo Police were called to the 2200 Block of Canyon Drive on a crash involving a silver Nissan car and the La Campana restaurant.
Detectives believe that the driver of the Nissan was racing another vehicle southbound on Canyon Drive before exiting, losing control, and striking the building.
The driver, a 16-year-old male, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say the driver has now died and are asking that anyone who might have information on this incident call the APD Traffic Unit at 378-4250 or Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400.
