CRASE Training- Tax Collectors

Randall County Sheriffs taught a Civilian Response to Active Shooter course, on Wednesday.

The Crase course was taught before 170 deputy tax collectors-assessors who are in Amarillo for their state convention.

County Sherff Chris Forbis says the tax offices get daily visits by residents and can get to be the focus of anger.

He admits that the county office being the tax assessor is a high-profile office that could make them the target for people that want to commit a shooting crime and the CRASE training is needed.

Forbis also says the Randall County Tax Office has had threats and says it’s important that all employees, deputies, and the tax collector know what to do in an active shooter event.
