Construction Update and Upcoming Projects

Coulter Street Bridge

In preparation for the Coulter Street bridge rehabilitation project, I-40 eastbound traffic will be shifted to the inside lanes from the entrance ramp located between Soncy Road and Coulter Street to just east of Coulter Street.

This work will take place between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday.

During this time, crews will pave the outside shoulders which will eventually carry traffic while bridge work is underway.

Pullman Road Bridge

In preparation to shift traffic to the new eastbound Pullman Road bridge, I-40 eastbound will be reduced to one lane from Airport Boulevard to the I-40/US 287 split from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

This will allow construction crews to move portable concrete barriers to the south side of the I-40 centerline.

Once the barriers are relocated and new pavement markings placed, eastbound traffic will shift to the new eastbound

Pullman Road bridge, most likely on Monday During this time, the new eastbound Pullman Road entrance and exit ramps will open.

Loop 335/Hollywood Road Project

On Wednesday, November 18, work to tie in businesses on the northeast corner of State Loop 335/Hollywood Road at I-27 was completed.

This included paving and striping of the frontage roads, adding concrete curb and gutters, and tying in and opening business access to the new frontage road.

As work continues to the west, traffic needing access to I-27 northbound from Loop 335 westbound will need to exit at Bell Street.

Traffic from Loop 335 to I-27 southbound will keep left at Bell Street and continue to the intersection.

This traffic pattern is expected to be in place for the next few months.
