Community College Enrollment Falls

Community colleges in the State of Texas have seen a big decrease in enrollments since 2019.

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board says public two-year colleges have seen a decrease in enrollments of ten point seven percent and throughout the state, the schools have seen an enrollment decrease of one percent since the fall of 2020.

Amarillo College saw a downfall in enrollments from 2019 to 2020 decreasing from 9,809 students to 9,220, but the school has
seen a slight rise this fall over 2020 reporting 9,283, an increase of point 68 from 2020.
