CoA Gives Update on Point-in-Time Count

Members of the Amarillo City Council were given an update on the Point-in-Time count that took place on July 16th.

The summer count showed that there are 499 homeless citizens in Amarillo with 183 of those being sheltered and 316 unsheltered.

Of those 445 were adults, 313 men and 162 female and 54 under the age of 18 and 24 ages 18-24.

Those in need of resources during the day can go to Guyon Saunders Resource Center and the Panhandle Adult Rebuilding Center.

At night there is the Faith City Mission and the Salvation Army.
