City of Amarillo To Stop Disconnection Of Water Service Covid-19 Situations

The City of Amarillo has temporarily stopped the disconnection of water service due to nonpayment for all customers due to Covid-19 situations.

Any water service previously disconnected for non-payment will be restored.

It should be noted that any outstanding balance on a water bill is still due, but water service will not be disconnected due to nonpayment until the coronavirus situation is resolved.

Reconnection of service requires the approval of the homeowner because automatic reconnection could result in flooding or damage to homes that are unoccupied or otherwise not prepared for water service.
