City Of Amarillo Settles Sewage Repair Lawsuit

Mission Clay Products has agreed to pay the city 11 point 1 million dollars to settle disputed claims allege in the cause.

The lawsuit goes back to 2017 and was filed against Mission Clay, Brandt Engineers and L.A. Fuller and Sons Construction.

City officials say in papers filed in court that pipe supplied for the sewer system upgrades experienced deterioration, cracks, fractures, and other structural failures. resulting in sewer collapses, blockages, leaks, and injury to other property.

An investigation found Mission Included an additive called Wallastonite, which has led to pipe failures throughout the county, and the company had knowledge of the additive, holding back the knowledge from the City of Amarillo.
